We will spend most of our time in the blueberry field, covering everything from fertility to disease management to various marketing strategies.  Although we'll be talking about blueberries, many of the principles will apply to other perennial crops.  We'll then move up to our wash/pack area where we will talk about how our veggie washing/packing system has evolved.  Please bring your own ideas to share... all the best ideas come from peer-to-peer learning. 

Heather has operated Northbrook Farm for 25 years, and has been a partner at Saanich Organics nearly that long.  Some people know her primarily as an organic veggie farmer, but when she meets families in her neighbourhood they invariably say "Oh, you mean that U-pick blueberry farm on Mt Newton?  We love that place"
